Bella aug 14Hi Penny, thanks, we were about to send you a message to wish Aura and the other pups a happy birthday.  Maddie is about to make Bella a “birthday” cake – yum!

bella weaving Bella jumping Attached, please find a few photos of Bella.  She competed in a BAA competition on Sunday and came home with a 2nd place rosette (more than 30 dogs in her class) and a 6th place rosette.  We were very proud of her and Maddie.
Busy looks just so cute in the pictures, you must be having so much fun with her.

Happy 2nd Birthday Princesses!

Busy, Aura, Luna, Sunny
Busy, Aura, Luna, Sunny

Three generations, four beautiful girls, wishing a very happy 2nd birthday to the princesses – Ella, Aura, Bella, Willow and Flo.  I can’t believe it is already two years since we had all the excitement of Luna’s litter arriving, a few days early and spread over two days!  Aura has grown up into the most fantastic dog.  She is incredibly friendly with people and absolutely loves children.  She is coming along brilliantly in agility and has enjoyed going to a few shows, getting a 7th rosette in an Allsorts class at the Milton Keynes show.  She has Sunny’s drive and Luna’s willingness to please – a perfect combination.

The latest litter, including Busy, were 6 months old last week, so happy half-birthday to them as well!  Busy and Aura play all day; they are such good friends.  It’s not ideal having two young dogs together, but Chris and I now have two girls each and I look forward to Chris beginning agility training with Busy in a few months’ time.

Happy Birthday Princesses!

IMG_3630The Dentbros princesses are a year old today (and tomorrow)!  Cinderella (Ella) and Princess Aurora (Aura) were born a year ago today and Princesses Belle (Bella), Jasmine (Willow) and Ariel (Flo) were born a year ago tomorrow.  Wishing them all a very happy birthday from Granny Sunny, Mummy Luna and me, their proud breeder xx

6 Months old today!

They are still babies, but are also starting to look (and behave) like grown-up dogs.  Here is the feedback I have had from the other four homes:

“Ella is an absolute delight, she really is. She has such a lovely temperament and so pretty. Her recall is now second to none. She can go for a wander but as soon as I blow the whistle she comes tearing back. Lead walking still a  bit of a struggle, as is jumping up, but we are getting there.”

“Flo is a smashing girl who loves everyone and everything except her dumbbell. We are working on that; she is coming along very well with all other aspects of her obedience training, she is so quick to learn. She is also becoming the perfect family dog both in and out of the house. Thank you so much for letting me have her. If I ever want another collie I know where I will be going.”

“I’ve attached a picture of Bella taken over Christmas, wearing her Christmas bandana which the kids couldn’t resist.  She’s doing so well and continues to be a real joy.  She’s so affectionate and very attentive – great praise from the trainers at Obedience Class last night.  She’s still a bit of a madam when we’re out walking.  She recalls selectively, particularly when we get towards the end of the walk.  She’ll come back to me, then side-step me, and if she had fingers, would definitely stick two up at me as she sails past!  I’ve been working really hard with her – carrying treats, honking pig, squeaky lamb etc and pretty much acting like a one-man dog entertainer.” [Typical of a 6-month old!]

“Willow is a beautiful girl – a bit of a monkey and loves chewing though, so our kitchen chairs are a bit worse for wear! She’s doing really well with her training, although she’s still a bit jumpy with people as she wants cuddles all the time. She’s the most affectionate dog I’ve ever had and she loves snuggling up if I sit on the floor with her.  I’ve rather crazily decided to do the Great North Run in September and Willow is a great running partner as she’s much happier going at running speed than when I walk with her – she doesn’t pull, is not at all fussed by people going by and just stays glued to my side.”

Lovely feedback, lovely homes.  I am thrilled with my own princess, she is very bright and such a lovely nature.  Makes me very proud!

Ready to go –

All their bags are packed, they’re ready to go.  The princesses have almost finished their time at the Puppy Palace and will be saying goodbye this weekend. They have been really enjoying their time playing with each other and Luna, but also learning that not everyone is completely friendly – Buzz and Sunny make sure they show respect for their elders 😉  These are all important experiences for them.  I know they will soon be tormenting the other pets and children and ‘tidying up’ their gardens, chair legs, door frames and anything else left lying around!  Their families are VERY excited about welcoming them home and I am confident that they are ready for their next big adventure!

Exploring

The princesses are much more active, with long periods where they are really lively, running about, jumping on each other and Luna, having such a good time.  Then they collapse in a heap, preferably squashed up into a pile beside the lavender, outside.  They have been enjoying the sunshine and the garden, although obviously it needed some heavy pruning to look its best.  They are off to Newmarket in a little while, to the Animal Health Trust, to have their hearing and eyesight checked.  Always a bit of an adventure, but the staff are so lovely.  Not long now till they go off to their new homes – we had around 80 people through the house last week, so they’ve had plenty of cuddles!

Busy busy

Now we are finally running around, investigating what’s going on.  Shoelaces are quite interesting and we are enjoying chewing fingers, toes, legs, bits of the door, basically everything, as we have very sharp teeth.  We like running, which we can do very fast, but we are still a bit out of control.  We jump on each other and attack, grrr.  Best of all is playing with mum, she is really nice to us and only pretends to eat us.  Granny Sunny is more grumpy, but we don’t care, we like chasing her anyway.

Playtime

Week 4 and the princesses are up and about, exploring the palace inside and out.  They can run now, although they usually then fall over, often crashing into one of their sisters or falling right into their food bowl.  They now come over to say hello when I go into their room in the mornings, asking to have a cuddle by chewing my leg, which is nice.  They are not terribly interested in their delicious food, as they still much prefer milk, but since they are growing continually that doesn’t really matter.  Luna really enjoys playing with them, as you can see and she is the most patient and tolerant dog you are likely to meet.

Lunch time

Week 3 and it’s feeding time at Penny’s Puppy Palace.  The princesses are ready to try something different, although they always enjoy a good drink from mummy.  They are up and about a bit more, although still enjoying a nice long sleep.  They have met their new families for the first time over the weekend and everyone is very happy.  Now all they need are cuddles and play – oh and lots more food!

Visitors are welcome from 20th August – 21st September – please pop in for a cuddle and to watch them play, we’d like to see you.
