ADVENT CALENDAR – DAY 24

Welcome to the Dentbros Dogs Advent Calendar!

Border Collie
Merry Christmas!

24th December 2021

Happy Christmas Eve! I decided to finish with my boy, as he is been such a highlight of this year for me. An unexpected bonus. I wonder what next year will bring? I’m sure I shall continue my journey as a breeder and my dogs will continue to bring joy to those around them. This is especially true when they visit schools, which I am proud to say Quin has already started doing, brilliantly.

Please take a moment to donate to Canine Concern, if you have not yet done so? They are such a great charity and really deserve support. Thank you.

Wishing you, your family and dogs a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

ADVENT CALENDAR – DAY 23

Welcome to the Dentbros Dogs Advent Calendar!

Border Collie
Ounce

23rd December 2021

Let it snow! Still hoping for a White Christmas. Ounce is such a pretty girl isn’t she? Can’t believe I didn’t use this picture on the calendar. I could just post pictures of this dog every day. My purple puppy – love her so.

Up until Christmas every day I will publish one (or two!) of favourite photos of dogs and puppies I have taken in the past year. I hope you like them!

Donation request

I am doing this dog advent calendar to celebrate my dogs, but also to politely request that you consider donating to Canine Concern. This is the charity that supports me going into school with my dogs and supports hundreds of other volunteers around the country, visiting lots of other places.

The charity is run very simply, by an extremely small team, with limited resources, but it does a huge amount of good. The volunteers are incredibly valued wherever they go, this year more than any other.

Thank you for your support.

ADVENT CALENDAR – DAY 22

Welcome to the Dentbros Dogs Advent Calendar!

Border Collie puppies
The Mystical Litter

22nd December 2021

Always difficult to decide which photos to use and which to discard, but I was pleased with this one, as it has them more or less lined up and looking at the camera. Left to right Arla, Ziggy, Winter, Grace, Quin and Tilos. It took 4 people to take this photo, me sitting on the floor and three people to wrangle the pups!

This photo appears on the cover of the calendar I created for 2022, to raise money for Canine Concern. These have now sold out, but see below for how you can still make a donation.

ADVENT CALENDAR – DAY 21

Welcome to the Dentbros Dogs Advent Calendar!

Border Collies
Luna

21st December 2021

Let it snow! Well we can always hope for a White Christmas can’t we? I always drag the dogs out with my camera when we have any snow, but catching the conditions just right for nice photos can be a challenge. Here’s another one for you:

ADVENT CALENDAR – DAY 20

Welcome to the Dentbros Dogs Advent Calendar!

Border Collies
Six Dentbros puppies!

20th December 2021

This was a real highlight for me, meeting up with a couple of old friends and walking all our Dentbros puppies together! Well Busy and Luna stayed at home that day, so these are all 2nd (or 3rd) generation pups. Left to right we have Dash, Bea, Charlie, Aura, Quin and Ounce. Can you see how alike they all are? Amazing isn’t it? Charlie is Aura’s son, Bea is her younger sister. Dash and Quin are full brothers.

Up until Christmas every day I will publish one (or two!) of favourite photos of dogs and puppies I have taken in the past year. I hope you like them!

ADVENT CALENDAR – DAY 19

Welcome to the Dentbros Dogs Advent Calendar!

Border Collie puppy
Grace

19th December 2021

Grace (Dentbros A Kind of Magic) is the sweetest girl, who went off to a very special home. Sometimes the right person comes along at the right time and you just know it’s going to be perfect. Well almost perfect, she is a Border Collie after all!

Up until Christmas every day I will publish one (or two!) of favourite photos of dogs and puppies I have taken in the past year. I hope you like them!

ADVENT CALENDAR – DAY 18

Welcome to the Dentbros Dogs Advent Calendar!

Border Collie puppy
Busy and Quin

18th December 2021

I think it’s possible that this is the moment I started to fall in love with Quin, even though I wasn’t expecting to keep him. I do always have a favourite puppy (or two!) and one I wish I’d kept. Busy was the puppy I had to keep and it turned out that Quin was the same. They are so sweet when they are this small aren’t they?

Up until Christmas every day I will publish one (or two!) of favourite photos of dogs and puppies I have taken in the past year. I hope you like them!

ADVENT CALENDAR – DAY 17

Welcome to the Dentbros Dogs Advent Calendar!

Border Collie
Arla

17th December 2021

Arla, (Dentbros Moondance), from the Mystical Litter. Arla and Quin are so alike that when she popped in for a visit recently we struggled to tell them apart, at 7 months! It’s amazing how alike littermates can be, even as adult dogs. I think Border Collies in particular, show off their family likenesses, as they are such a variable breed. There are many different colour combinations and of course the ears! Border Collie ears are hugely variable and very often uneven. A few of this recent litter have one ear (the left) slightly dropped, with the other being completely up.

Up until Christmas every day I will publish one (or two!) of favourite photos of dogs and puppies I have taken in the past year. I hope you like them!

ADVENT CALENDAR – DAY 16

Welcome to the Dentbros Dogs Advent Calendar!

Border Collie
Aura

16th December 2021

Aura again, still smiling. Every year I go to my local heath, when the heather is blooming and try to take the perfect heather photo. Such a challenge! Is the light right, sunny but not too much. Can I see the dog’s eyes? Are they looking at me? Is there grass up their nose? Who will make it to the calendar? Can I get a group shot (not this year). Last year I took one of my favourite photos of Sunny (see 9th Dec of this year’s calendar). I love the colour in this picture. And of course that sweet smile on my princess’s face.

This photo appears on the calendar I created for 2022, to raise money for Canine Concern. These have now sold out, but see below for how you can still make a donation.

ADVENT CALENDAR – DAY 15

Welcome to the Dentbros Dogs Advent Calendar!

Border collie puppy
Tilos

15th December 2021

This is Tilos, Dentbros Magical Mystery, from the Mystical Litter. Tilos lives on the south coast with her Uncle Symi, Busy’s older brother from the Poker Litter. Symi has led a charmed life and has (slightly reluctantly!) welcomed Tilos into his family. They are beloved by Jill and the rest of her family. I am so incredibly proud to have so many of my puppies going to live with other Dentbros puppies.

This photo appears on the calendar I created for 2022, to raise money for Canine Concern. These have now sold out, but see below for how you can still make a donation.
